You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing robust, modular, and maintainable automated test scripts using WDIO.

  • Design, develop, and maintain an efficient and scalable automation framework.

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Creating and maintaining documentation for test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.

  • Use of appropriate tools and technologies for automation.

  • Implementing automation for both functional and non-functional testing.

  • Execution of automated test suites and analyze results.

  • Investigate and report defects, providing detailed information to development teams.

  • Monitor and analyze automated test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Communicate test progress, results, and any potential quality risks to the project team.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the testing process.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose any errors and failures.

  • Perform exploratory and manual testing as necessary to support automated testing and product needs.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the testing team.

  • Design and execute performance testing scenarios to ensure the web application's scalability and responsiveness.

  • Analyze performance test results and collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance.

  • Set up and maintain test environments to ensure they mirror production as closely as possible..

  • Champion and enforce best practices in quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team and the larger development organization.

Ideally you should have:

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with WebdriverIO, including its commands, APIs, and features.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, as WebdriverIO is primarily built on Node.js.

  • Knowledge of assertion libraries like Chai and framework like Mocha, Jasmine

  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming and promises in JavaScript.

  • Good Understanding of REST API

  • Understanding of page object model (POM) and other design patterns.

  • Syntactic and Semantic understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Proficient in using browser developer tools for debugging and analyzing web page elements.

  • Expertise in using XPath and CSS selectors for effective element identification in web applications.

  • Experience in handling different types of locators and elements in web applications.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for code management and collaboration.

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.

  • Good usage of tool like POSTMAN and ability to work with browser developer tools.

  • Knowledge of Deployment to cloud infrastructure.

  • Strong Organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

  • Good understanding of micro services architecture.

  • Understanding of testing tools like Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber

  • Ability to work with Docker and cloud infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of OWASP Guidelines and hands on working with Burp Suite

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing automation testing strategy

  • Evaluate and select testing tools and technologies

  • Identify areas for process improvement

  • Establish and enforce coding standards and guidelines

  • Collaborate with project managers on test planning and estimation

  • Act as a liaison between the testing team and stakeholders

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing objectives, scope, and priorities.

Ideally you should have:

  • Experience with testing frameworks like Chai, Mocha, Jasmine, Cucumber and more

  • Familiarity with tools for managing test data and ensuring its accuracy and security

  • Attention to detail to ensure thorough test coverage

  • Ability to identify and discuss Non Functional cases during the course of application development to avoid bottlenecks in application.

  • Excellent ability to provide metrics and articulate information with clarity and simplicity to various stack holders.

  • Define work activities and set up dashboards in JIRA

Nice to have:

  • Ability to manage and provision instances and work with AWS Cloud Platform.

  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts (virtual networks, subnets, security groups).

  • Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
